Default RE: Parts manual question

I think I'd rather have the right parts book for the year of the bike, the one you need is 04'Touring #99456-04A $48.00 at the dealer,$37.70 @ zannotti's
plus shipping.

I just ordered both the 04' touring parts book & the 04' touring police parts book from zannotti's shipped for $89.00, I already have the 04 touring service manual & 04'police supplement service manual, only thing missing now is the 04' touring electrical diagnostic manual #99497-04 $58.00 dealers,$42.90 zannotti's plus shipping, but i think i'll wait on that for awhile.

Good Luck

Default RE: Parts manual question

Dawg,

My 2006 parts catalog for "Touring" models #99456-06A has at the bottom of every other page a reference chart labeled "FLT MODELS". Below that heading is a listing of all the bike models that can reference this manual. Each bike model is identified by a 2 letter code.
FLHT=DD, FLHRI=FB, FLHTCUI=FC, FLHR=FD, FLHTCI=FF, FLHRCI=FR, FLTRI=FS, FLHTI=FV, FLHRS=FX, FLHRSI=FY, FLHX=KA, FLHXI=KB. Above this chart is the listing of the parts for a particular section of your bike such as "FOOTBOARD & FOOTPEGS". It lists the item part #, item description and the models it will fit by the model code such as "DD", "FB/C/D/F etc.

I may have the 2006 catalog but we are talking Harley's here. Most parts are interchangable. They haven't made any major changes in the basic make up of the bike.
If you got ahold of an earlier parts catalog you will find that the parts #s are the same with maybe the changing of the last 2 digits to reflect the model year or the letter at the end of a # from an "A" to a "B".
