Just wondering what folks are getting on their stock 2011 Touring. My first full fill up for my 2011 Electra Glide Classic resulted in about 36.5 MPG. I expected a bit more. What is everyone else getting?
That's about right if mostly city riding. You shouldn't fret over mileage until the bike is broken-in, though. If you're getting this mileage on the highway after about 5k miles I would try to address it, as it would be abnormally low.
Coming home from Sturgis I checked it twice, one tank was 40.3 and the next was 43. That was riding the interstate at the speed limit 70-75 depending on which state I was in, and that was two-up with a loaded tourpak and bags.
And I don't "fret" over it, I check it about two or three times a year just to get an idea of what I'm getting for mileage. I'd say that anything above 35 is doing okay, but that's just me.
Maybe my conversion is incorrect, but I rode 375kms and all I could squeeze in to her was 17.5 litres. All of this trip was under 100kph,and 100kms was during a poker run,so that was even slower.
My nose is still the same length, just a little sun burned.
Just got back from a 1,700 mile ride around the Michigan shoreline. I kept records of all mileage stops and gas usage. Averaged 44.2 mpg. No expressway driving (maybe about 80 miles). Had the wife, a tour pak, and 75lbs worth of luggage and gear in the Pak and saddlebags.
The bike is '10 Street Glide with a Rush slip on, Stage 1 AC, and a SEPRT with a dyno tune done just before the trip. Mileage was 5,400 miles when we completed the trip.
Good or bad the bike ran outstanding with plenty of power.

Since you are asking about 2011 Touring, I can say that my 2011 Road Glide Ultra got 44.3 mpg on the last tank. Bike now has 900 miles on it. Previous tanks I got about 40 mpg. This last trip was mostly highway riding.
