I have an 07 SG vivid black. I love it, I think the price is high in todays market. I would go a few grand less or walk. You can find them for 13 K from private parties if you get lucky.
Thanks guys...yeah, I think I can get it for quite a bit cheaper than asking price...If all else fails I will walk and keep looking...I got two bikes to ride so it's not like I will be deprived...The riding season is winding down here in NWI and I would think bike sales are gonna slow considerably...should be a buyers market...
I bought my 07SG a year an a half ago for $16800, but it did have alot of xtra chrome. I think the price is about right. I really do enjoy my scoot! Bite the bullet & enjoy!
Overpriced. Keep in mind, the dealers won't give anything extra for chrome or other upgrades on trade-ins, so you shouldn't give anything extra when a bike with upgrades on it. Just my .02
Hey everyone. I am going to look at an 08 Street Glide tomorrow. It is vivid black with 6600 miles on it...Dealership is asking $17,995 for it. It appears to be pretty much stock and in excellent condition...I checked Kelly Blue book and Nada...It looks like 16k-18k is the price they say it goes for...What are thoughts on this? never owned a Harley before, but a long time rider looking to step into something newer, bigger and more comfy and still look sporty...

Have you rode the bike yet, or a Street Glide for that matter?
I suggest that you ride the bike first, then ride an 09, then make up your mind, as to what you want, then shoot the dealer what you're really actually ready to pay for it, and then do not compromise your price.
...at THAT price it's a rip-off...I mean, what's a 2010?, one thousand more?...you don't get the new frame either...I say that's a deal at $16,500 not a penny more...
Price is a little high for an '08. Personally for that kind of money I'd go for an '09 or '10, which you should be able to get for around the same amount of money, then you get the new frame and other improvements over the '08. '07's and '08 touring bikes are lanquishing at a lot of dealers, because everyone wants the new frame that came out in '09 and the pre '09's are seen as less desirable by some people,
right or wrong, nothing wrong with an '08, just use this as a bargaining chip. I'd offer
15K and go from there.
Haven't ridden a Street Glide..have ridden a couple ultras and various other models (sportster, wide glide, fat boy super glide)...
I was thinking I would go in with an offer of 13...Of course I am gonna test ride it first, look at some other stuff...I was thinkin topping at 15-15.5k
