Oil pressure ?
just picked up my first harley Tue. Its a 06 ultra classic with the 103 upgrade. After the engine is hot the oil pressure reads about 10 when idleing and 32 running at speed. Called the dealer and the service writer said it should be ok but he didnt sound convincing. Is 10 psi ok when hot idleing on these bikes? thanks,Ron

I noticed the same thing when i got on my ultra for my first trip (Came from a Fat Boy) I was freaking out. I dont even think it reads 5psi but the idiot light hasnt come on so i guess were doing ok.

When the temperature gets to around 105 degrees the oil is very thin. I've always wondered if my '09 would do better with a higher pressure oil pump. The 10 psi factory spec's seem to be low at idle but the factory knows better than I do.
