FLHPI spotlights
I am getting a used police bike. it currently does not have any spotlight bulbs installed. is there anything that needs to be done to get them to work, besides bulbs? All the wiring is there.
Anyone use amber lamps in there spotlights?

Pick up some par36 lamps or you can use the halogen kit HD sells. I think I paid right around 70 for the kit for the 2000. Other than that shouldn't be anything to do. If they are still in the flashing mode you can just run a jumper in the flasher socket. I did that and in 5 minutes can have them back to flashing for parades or whatever.

You will need to join all of the wires together going to the wig wag relay...If it is a fairly new police bike you will find the relay in the nacelle behind the headlight...I believe it has 3 gray wires going to it.
