Anyone running the Jackpot mufflers with the optional "quiet" baffle?
Looking for something between my stock SE pipes and V&H slash cuts for my 08 Ultra SE3. Put on V&H basic slash cuts this weekend and my ears are still ringing from the jack hammer noise from the V&H pipes on a 250 mile trip.
The 110 seems to really put out the sound, much more than my 88 or 96.
I've tried Bubs, Rinehart, couple of the old loud SE pipes and V&H, all too loud for me, running the stock SE pipes, but they are too quiet.
The Jackpot mufflers seem to be the answer if what they say is true.
I have Jackpots on mine, but I have no engine mods. I do have the cats removed.
The dyno tuned baffles were nice and low, but harsh when you get on it. I put the QBs in and with the insert out, there is a slight difference with a few dbs less especially at WOT. With insert in it is slightly louder than stock and a little too restrictive for me. Maybe someone will chime in with cams. That is just my opinion, because the wife and I like the stereo.
I have Jackpots with the quiet baffle, but I'm running them on a 96. I tried two sets of pipes before the Jackpots and couldn't handle the sound level. I got the Jackpots with the quiet baffle and am totally satified. They have a deep rumble that is just what I was looking for. They are a little too quiet with the insert in, but with the insert removed, they have just the level of sound I was looking for. I can't say how much louder they might be with a 110 build. If you talk to the guys at Fuel Moto, I'm sure they can shed some light on that question.
I had the Jackpots at the time I was running the V&H POWER DUALS with Andrews 21 cams, Baisley heads and a 103. I needed to run a quiet baffle in each muffler with a modified insert in the right side for a sound level we could live with. It may have restricted the motor a little but its the price you pay to have a quieter machine,I have tried every stealth muffler out there and either the sound is off or there just too restrictive. If I had your 110 I just put the best header I could find on it and keep the stock mufflers, by the way I tried the Fullsac 1.75 baffles, way too loud
Thanks guys, May just keep the stock SE pipes on it, tired of collecting mufflers that won't work for me. As mentioned most mufflers I like the sound of are on either a 88 or 96 and when I put them on my Ultra SE3 with the 110 they have a totally different sound...........LOUD !!
