Well, finally got the 07 Street Glide Tuesday! Couldn't be happier. No abnormal 5th gear noise, more pull than my 06 Roadking, but the windshield needs to be a little taller. I'm 6' and the wind nails me right in the eyes at 75.
Bountyhunter, what size is that on yours; is it HD? Definately needs to be the dark smoked color. Does the Sundowner lower you much more than the stock seat? BTW - nice new graphics!!
Anyone have any other suggestions; not too fond of the Cee Bailey's.
I have the fastaire windshield. I bought the 6" and the 8". I ride daily with the 6" and put the 8" on for longer trips. Works great for me. Check them out at www.fastaire.com.
I'm 6'3" and the stock windscreen made riding the bike unbearable. I bought a 6" smoked screen from Fastaire (outstanding people to do business with) and that helped some but I still had problems above 70mph with my riding glasses blurring my vision. I need to order the 8" screen sometime.
Side note, I ended up taking off the ear pieces from my riding glasses and putting on the elastic strap...problem solved.
The one in the pic is a 6" black Fastaire. For longer rides, I throw on a 9" dark smoke. Like em' both a lot! Best prices, quality and service anywhere. www.fastaire.com
1st thing i changed put a 8 inch on off e-bay seller name "dakota shield "$26.99 + $10.00 shipping had it in 2 days great people . Works perfect 6 foot tall , the stock looked great but too much wind right on glasses .
