Kudos to both Bryan and Brian.

Admirable stances on both of your part!

Sure is nice to hear this in contrast to most of what we hear these days...

Just to add some closure to this soap opera. I ordered a Sport Touring Seat from Chuck at C&C today. Got a leather one with silver stiched flames that he had on hand and ready to ship tomorrow. Hopefully this will be my final seat. Counting the stock seat this will be the fourth seat that I try. I'll post some pics when I get it mounted.

Bryan and Brian,

Next time I see a post asking for the defination of a real biker/man/person, I will refer to this post. A man's word being his bond is what it is all about. Too bad that it is the exception rather than the norm anymore.

Regards,

Bill

I haven't been on here in awhile (got depressed seeing all the nice rides while mine is still in pieces at the pinstripers).

But I just want to say that posts like this one make me proud to belong to this forum.

bdjhog,

I am also short standing at 5'3" with a Street Glide, so I feel your pain. I lowered and tried a couple different seats. I use a badlander for around town which put me almost flat foot. I am considering the dragginbaggers air ride kit when I get the money. I am also waiting to here some more feed back from the members that have ordered this system. I think you and I are great candidates for this system. You may want to inquire about it from dragginbaggers.

Phil, I am just about flat footed now. Probably only 1/4 - 3/8" shy. That's with the front forks lowered 1" with the Harley kit and a 1 3/4" R.U.B. kit in the rear. After I get the C&C seat if I'm still not flat footed then I will definitely be looking into the Draggin' Baggers system. Like you I am waiting to hear some more feedback from people regarding the ride quality. Asthetically it a done deal, but this time I'm going to worry more about function than looks. With my current set up I can ride solo without (or very rarely) rubbing the rear tire to the fender with about 15 psi in the shocks. I rode it two up this weekend with the gf and had to pump the rear shocks up to 40 psi to keep the rear tire rub to a minimum. The rub didn't happen often, but I was certainly aware of it and adjusted my riding style accordingly. The riding season here in Western PA is growing shorter quickly so most likely I won't be going to another suspension set up until next year. By then there should be plenty of feedback on the Draggin' Baggers system to make an educated decision on it.
