Default two questions

i have a 2006 road king (former police bike)with an 88" motor. it has 27000 miles on it at this time. i really like it but, is there a way to lower it a bit. it has the police seat, which i like. but it sits a bit high. im only 5'8", short inseam. id like to lower the bike about an inch. doable and suggestions on how? other question..ive read a lot about the chain tensioners...seems most upgrade along with cams. i really dont want to change the cams, rather leave the bike as close to stock as i can. it does have the se a/c, exhaust and computer upgrade(had it when purchased). my question is can i run gear to gear? if so, approx cost vs the hydraulic set up? anybody running the gear to gear and if so, your thoughts and recommendations. curious as to why change the cam plate and oil pump at 30000 miles if no issues...just changing out the tensioners to get rid of the original. unless thats the better route if changing cams as well. sorry if long, preciate any info/advise and personal experience
