Default Tour Pac Radio Cable

Ok, I installed the Tour Pac on my 06 RG, but I'm not sure about the radio antenna cable. Will I find enough extra cable in the wiring harness to reach the antenna connector on the back of the pack or do I have to buy a cable extender or a whole new, longer cable. The manual doesn't say anything about it.

There should be enough to reach, might have to reroute the cable a little bit though.

I checked out the length of the cable and it's pretty much a straight shot from the radio to the rear fender with very little play. I think I will just have to use a short RCA type cable to make the link. A short H-D cable does exist for $21 but I think I'll go cheap on this one and learn a lesson later.

Do you know the HD part number that costs $21?

If you haven't mounted the antenna fixture to the TP, consider a powered antenna that mounts inside the fairing. Dakota Digital is just one example and costs about $80; there are others for as little as $30.

Why not go with a hidden antenna under the fairing? I got one off eBay for under $22.
