Default Tank Emblems

I just bought a set of new (I'd love to find original in good shape) '61-'62 Panhead emblems that I am going to slap my Road King with. I bought them on ebay (of course) and there is a company that offers an adaptor kit that is stick on, and you screw the emblem on to the adaptor. Has anyone used a kit like this and is it worth it?

I just added the tank emblems you see in my sig. and used the adaptor kit HD makes. As far as I know it is the only way to add the old style emblems. The 3M backing sticks like crazy, so make sure you've got it just where you want it.. We applied the adaptor kit to the tank first, they bend easily, and then worked the emblems into shape and screwed them on.. Hope this helps...

I put a set of the style you are getting on my buddies FLHRP and they came with the sick on backing. Put the stick on backing on and then screw the emblem to the backing. ZOOK

i believe the adapter kit is currently the only way to attach them. make sure you do it in a warm, dry place or the ends may peel back. good luck
