I repainted my tank and now want to reinstall the tank emblems. The tank emblems are off a 2012 street glide and still have the thick double sided tape on them. The double sided tape that is in there is nicely cut in between the lettering from the factory and I don't think I will be able to get it out of the emblem without bending or damaging it. Is there a good wat to reapply these with a thinner double sided tape over the old tape or use a certain type of glue? These emblems are pricey and I would like to reuse these since they are mint. What products or steps if any can I use to make these work?
