Question SE muffler mod?

I've got Screamin Eagle mufflers on my 07 Ultra, and love the way they look, but want more of a full rumble out of them... I asked the guy at the dealer today about alternate baffles, which he said didn't exist. He suggested pulling out the baffle, and cutting off about 1/4 of it off.... Sounds kinda sketchy to me... Anybody ever hear of, or do this?

Cycle shack, Full Sac and Big City Thunder all make baffles for SE touring mufflers.

I went with the Fullsac 1.78" CVO power cores. Very easy install and they sound great. Price is not bad and like you i love the look of the CVO mufflers.http://www.fullsac.com/cvo-muffler-cores.html

your dealer was correct that if you cut your baffle down it will increase sould level. Supertrapp/kerker make SE pipes and they have a full assortment of baffles to fit too. I had a set of SE 65115-98's and I cut down the baffles and made a bit difference.

Cycle shack makes a replacement baffle #1544. Dennis Kirk or Drag Specialties sell them. Approximately $60. You have to drill the 3 new holes in them to match the screw or pop rivet holes in the existing baffles. Not hard, just a little bit of time. Sounds great and flows better too.

I went with cycle shack baffles. I have the 80721-09 se on my 10 ultra. Cycle shack #1542 baffles went right in. Sounds really good. Louder and a lot deeper. But not too loud. Can still hear the radio just fine.
