Get the soft lowers, you won't regret it.

The fork baffle that goes on the bottom triple tree for about 20 bucks is worth it too, just run a 1/4-20 tap through the holes before you install it.

These are the best ones I've seen....super heavy duty. Always in my saddlebags when I need 'em. Yup, 50 degrees is the line on 'em....

I have the HD lowers and run them on my street glide, money for when it is raining, blocks the water and the rain, This summer got allot of use with the weather being wet and mostly the temp right around 50 degrees all summer. On warmer days with little or no rain they went back into the saddle bag, the only real problem I had is that the highway peg mount was slightly larger than the soft lowers, fixed that with my trusty pocket knife and sewed the lowers back to keep the stitches from unraveling.

I use my home made ones up to 70 degrees or so..

I did make them in 2 pieces with the frame area open..plenty of cooling...it actually directs more are onto the cylinder... never had a overheat problem except sitting still which wouldn't matter

they work great by the way

I got the HD vinyl $40 ones and love em....helps a lot and are packable if it gets too hot...if you run Syn oils it will be able to be used at a bit higher temps but you will know when you need to take em off....i user them all winter with the chrome side for deflectors and it makes a lot of difference to me...keeps my shins warmer.

Ditto above. I bought a set of these last year after seeing a thread on here. They work great to really block the wind when riding in cool/cold weather. Very good quality with lots of velcro. Keep them in my saddlebags when it turns cool. May use them in the mornings, then take off as it warms up during the afternoon hours.

I have them.. paid around $40 for no names on Ebay a few years ago, they work great. Call me a sissy, but I toss them on when it gets down near 65 or lower and never had a heat issue.

temp is no issue,it takes all of one minute to take them off and store them. The soft lowers are more useable than the hard ones for my use.

I just ordered these because of the link you posted. They look like a quality item that protects the motor from water, salt, etc.

Question, will they go on with your highway pegs extended? I hope they do, since mine are locked tight.
