My personal best is only 168 miles without getting off.
I can't see how anybody can go 300... that's awesome.

Yes, I'm looking for something like that. Thanks. Do you know of anyone who put one of those on an Electra Glide with a Tour Pack?

I do not know if those kit will work with Fuel Injection System. Because it required to have high pressure to make it works and the EFI bike have fuel pump in the tank.

I am going to plumb it in to the cross-over line at the front bottom of the tank. With the auxillary tank higher than the main tank, gravity should work. It will also have an old style petcock on the aux tank to control fuel flow to the main tank.

If you are going to ride solo will it fit on the pillion?

I have done a lot of distance riding over the years and you will find you make better progress by taking rest and refreshment stops more often than you are proposing. Read some of the hints and tips for doing Iron Butts. You won't get very far without eating and drinking often, like every couple of hours.

I am in the process of fitting an '09 6 gallon tank to my '90 Evo. One of those would give you quite enough range, around 200 miles or so. They can be bought off ebay for peanuts if you are patient (mine cost $66).

To hide it inside the tourpak, I image you could cut the tourpak lid in half, add fiberglass to get the required height needed and repaint.

Yes, the tank from EGlige shows some promise. I'll probably redesign the factory grab bar to suit my needs and mount a tank where the passenger would normally sit. I'm still kind of torn between purchasing a tank and building one. I have the skills required to do such a project, I'm just not sure if I want to spend the time.

GRBROWN, I hear what you're saying about more frequent stops. Having the ability to pulling over at a rest stop for some food and a drink is more appealing than HAVING to stop at convience store/gas station. I've been in many situations where I really didn't want to stop but I just didn't have enough fuel to make the next fueling point.
