I just need your expertise on baffles, I notice the fiberglass wrapping on my baffles doesn't last the most is 500 miles.
What's the best wrap that I could use on the baffles ??
Where can I get it, is it available from home depot/loews
thanks & have a safe ride
I just replaced the the baffle packing in my Rush Slip ons. Right side was completely gone. The left side was intact, but I went ahead and replaced it. I used two bags ( One per muffler) of "Moose" performance packing(Yellowish color). I purchased from Ebay. Very happy with the results. The deep tone is back!!!
I used Silent Sport on my V&H. A 450g bag did both mufflers. Got it from Fuel Moto. It's only been a couple weeks now, but I am very happy with the outcome so far.

This stuff looks like a loose fill? How did you wrap it around regular baffles and what did you use to hold it on? I am going to do this to the used 4" Cobra mufflers I got when I get some td head pipes. The guy I bought them from had 45K on them so I know the packing is gone. They sound good and loud but not as deep as I would like.

I just wrapped it around as best as I could and slowly packed it all in with a steel rule while sliding the baffle in. Easier than it sounds.

Did you notice your left baffle is shorter than the right side baffle? If you switch them you get some more rumble. The left is shorter on alot of V+H pipes because most of the exhaust goes out the right side. I switched mine this spring when I repacked them and it sounds real nice.
