Seems the new CVOs have a Zumo mount that interfaces with the audio system allowing the Zumo audio to be heard in all modes on the sound system.
It would be a great retro-fit item for older models.
Currently you need to plug into the aux input and select aux, thereby eliminating radio use. Anyone know anything about this?
HD has released the GPS interface as an available part in the accesory book. I think its about $150 option, and from what I understand it only works with the HD branded 660 or 665.
I am thinking seriously about getting it, but it doesnt look compatible with the hands free kit, but I can not find any information about it.
Just my luck it wouldn't work with the 550. Anyway, I've already sort of solved it with a Mix-It sound board which runs through the aux port with my Sirius.
I just bought the interface from Lakeshore for around $120. One of my Winter projects will be to install it and see if it works with my 550. I'll post my results . . . this Winter . . . Sorry.
Well i found some place that they ask garmin if the interface would work with a garmin 660 or 665 and there answer was only with HD RoadTech because the soft ware is set up to put a signal to the module when a command is being made. This is what i found by searching for a answer why my garmin didn't work.
