I got lights!! Thanks a whole lot for the help guys. First thing I did when I got home from work this morning was to check underneath the liner, and voila, there was the connector I needed. One less thing to worry about for our trip now! I had parts and service people from Harley dealerships telling me everything from "an Ultra Tour Pak won't work with a Road Glide" to "the plug you found under the left side cover is for engine diagnostics, and not tour pak lights". Luckily, I knew where to turn for the correct answers.

What idiot said that? If I had dealership or service department tell me a story like that, I would not trust them with even changing the oil on my Harley. They might put oil in the gas tank or tires.

Glad you were successful getting the lights connected.
Unfortunately, your experience with the inaccurate information from employees at an HD dealership is not uncommon.
Have a safe and enjoyable trip. And take good care of your buddy's tour pak!!!
