I have just recovered from neck surgery in which I could not pick up or ride my 2007 Road King for 3 months. I am now able to ride again but went to start the bike and it will not start. It is charged, turn the ignition switch, hear the fuel injection hissing, it turns over, but does not start. Any help that anyone could give me so I can get my paperwork and inspections done on the bike would be greatly appreciated.

 

change the batteries in the security key fob?

 

Ok, I feel kind of stupid, but I dont know what the security key fob is.

 

A local Bro was in a bad wreck on his scoot. He's still in a neck brace . I feel for you. It will start but even better you can still ride.

its the little round plastic thing that hangs on the key ring next to the key, its a proximity thing that disarms the security system.

 

Are there any codes? Engine light staying on ?

no, no codes, engine light turns off like normal. everything is working just like before and such, just starts turning over, but wont kick over and start.

 

also, tried a couple times to give it a little gas, but then started to smell like I flooded it so I quit trying that.

 

Somebody disconnect the plug wires?
