Have you tried to read the codes by accessing them with the ignition switch? I rode mine into the garage this spring & backed it out a couple days later & it wouldn't start, checked for fuel pump cycling, plug wires, etc, everything seemed OK. Went in & got the manual & went through the procedure to bring the codes up, I'd have to look up just how you have to do it by cycling the ignition switch on & off, the code came up as a bad crank sensor. The engine light still goes out even if there's a code stored.

Did you pull the plugs and check for spark? If your starter is turning the motor over like you have compression (not like a sewing machine), then the next thing I would do is check for spark. Has to be something simple since it started 3 months ago and you havn't done anything to the motor.

Yea, I just tried to start it again and it got to the point where it almost did. I would get a loud pop like it was trying to start, after the third try I got a little bit of smoke come from under the front of the gas tank, so I think I might have to just take it to the shop so I dont blow it up. LOL

Sorry for the woes. Maybe try some fresh gas and mix it up with the old if you don't want to pull the plugs. If you do want to pull the plugs, then squirt a LITTLE gas in the spark plug holes and see if it starts then. Maybe you got some old gas to begin with and it got older to the point that it's not tool cumbustable anymore? Good luck!!
