I have searched, but have not found the precise info I am looking for.
I have an 07 Road King, It has two switches, the right one for the aux lights and the left one which controls nothing ( I assume it is for an accessory of my choosing) I can find no wiring diagram or even where I can access the pigtail for it. I would like to hook my frame LED's to this switch, but again do not know much about it....
On my '09 RK it will control the extra accessory hook-up that is under the seat. There is another one next to the fuse box under the left cover just in front of the saddle bag. I have the wiring diagram detailed in the'09 SERVICE manual...you probably won't have it if you're just using the owner's manual. Even though it should be easy to wire something there, I don't know what to put there! I hope this helps a little, good luck, Sir.

I don't know for sure but that switch is probably wired so that you only get power when the ignition is on. So if you are looking to keep your lights on when the bike is parked and locked, you might not be able to. Just a heads up to check first if thats what you intend to do.

I'm like you in that I'm not sure (since I haven't looked in quite a while) but it seems like there are 4 wires in that plug. One is ground, one is switched by the left switch at the bars, one is a brake light switch if a tourpak was added, and one is always hot. Not entirely sure about the always hot one, but I do know that the switched wire is only hot when the ignition is "on" or in "accessory".
