My dealer had 7 or so 2010 FLH's - they had 10% off on them with no frt or prep - sold 'em all within a week They have '11's on the floor now - very little action on the '11's
I know the answer to sell the '11's is to discount as they did on the'10's - Do you think they will discount 'em ---Nah! Let em sit - that's the way to make money according to them! hahahaha!!

I predict there will be a shortage (can you say 'waiting list') of NEW bikes this time NEXT year. This prediction is not based on any scientific evidence.
Just bought the 2010 RKC and got the best deal I have ever gotten on a new scoot. They actually gave me what I paid on my 08' SG over 26 months ago. Don't know exactly what they have left in the 10's. Will say, they don't have as many new bikes on the floor as they usually do.

Sales guy that I worked with to get my SG made this "prediction" as well. Also, based on the fact that they are going with more P/T and "unskilled" labor there's a good chance they aren't planning to make a whole bunch of '11's at least.
Didn't HD do this before? Cut production and wait for demand to start coming back which meant that as it did, the price and waiting lists BOTH grew considerably? That also meant that used bikes were selling for more than new ones because a buyer could get it TODAY!....wonder if they are angling for something similar....hmmm....
I just got a 2011 RKC and the guys at the dealership were saying they dont expect a lot of '11's in because HD cut back on production, to get demand back up. I thought they were just saying it to sell me a bike....maybe there is some truth to it.
