Thumbs down Another Problem with Custom Dynamics

When I installed led replacements for the run/turn lights up front and the run/turn/brake out back from Custom Dynamics I had a problem with their load equalizer. Now, I have a problem with one of the led clusters up front. Somehow, it has developed a short and blew out my fuse, killing all the running lights. Removed the bad led, replaced the fuse and am good to go. There is no way I am going to get a replacement from CD for the bad light. Instead, I am going to get a set of Radianz for up front since I have had good luck getting FUNCTIONING parts from Badlands.
I do not recommend buying from CD. Their parts are junk and there service sucks.

I thought I read on the Forum that 2010 and up do not require load equalizers. No?

2010 and up do require a load equalizer. Badlands make a great one that works correctly and plugs in-line with the tail lights. The Custom Dynamics on sucks and when called about the problems I was having they admitted to having problems with them. Will never buy CD products again (at least nothing with a circuit board).

I have had 2 triple plays go out from them both with 2 weeks of installing. I beilieve the only harelys that dont need a equalizer is the 2011 softails.

Badlands have some great stuff

I have a 2010 SE Ultra and it definitely needed a LE. In fact I needed 2 LEs due to the fact that I also have the LED windshield trim bar from HD http://accessories.harley-davidson.c...t/default.aspx. I worked with the guys from Badlands to come up with the right combination to get everything to "play nice" together. Works perfect now and it's all Plug & Play so it can be easily swapped out if needed. http://www.badlandsmotorcycleproduct...cts/BETCSM.htm

So far everyone remarks that my combination of lighting is really outstanding. I have a BAL-3S smoked layback LED taillight that is set for a 3 burst flash and steady on when braking. I have the Badlands Illuminator LE which also serve as a run/brake/turn module so I coverted my rear turn signals into stop signals by swapping out the rear amber bulbs to red Radianz LEDS from Badlands.

I swapped out the front amber bulbs for amber LEDS from Badlands. Together with the front LED windshield trim piece (amber LEDs) which also serves as front turn signals, the bike is very visible. If you don't have the HD LED windshield trim, then you won't need the second small LE from Badlands.

I kept all my smoked turn signal lenses and the LEDs are shockingly bright when blinking or just in run mode. Since the bike is an SE Ultra all the lighting on the TP is also LED, including the main brake light. Unfortunately the corner LEDs on the TP are not turn signals. I know there's a kit now to convert those corner lights to turn signals however my TP is detachable and I'm not sure if it's worth it to add another plug that has to be connected/disconnected each time I take the TP on/off.

The entire Badlands package of LE and 4 turn signal bulbs was about $200. I got the BAL on a 20% sale at my dealership for less than $200. The lighting was easily worth the $400 to me given the dramtic difference in lighting on the bike.

All my lighting (other than headlights and passing lights) are now LED and it looks the way it should have looked from the factory.
