I have the Custom Dynamics Moon Shinz Blinkers/Spot Lights on the front of my bike , I noticed today the right blinker is not blinking , sinse these are LED's I'm not sure where to start looking for the problem , any thoughts ????? THANKS
I would swap them side to side, first, and make sure it's the LED unit that's defective.
Thats a good starting point. From there I would give them a call. They're LED products normally carry a lifetime warranty and they stand behind. I have had to replace some of my lights because individual LEDS would die out. All were swapped without a hitch.
I checked right blinker doesn't work , left one does , when the alarm sets right blinker flashes and the left one doesn't , I swapped them from one side to the other and now right blinker workes and the left one doesn't , setting the alarm left blinker flashes and the right one doesn't ??????
As stated already Custom Dynamics is really good to deal with. Either on the phone or via email.
Have you done any work on your hand or foot brake? Did you change or remove your handle grip on the left side? Also check to see if your rear signal lights are working properly. Is your cruise control working properly? Did you install the rear signal lights with or without an equalizer? If not I would suggest you order the equalizer. Are the rear signal lights original? If so check to see if one of them isn't burnt out.
Had a very similar problem. Check the led that does not work. Most likely the wire is broken at the led or the contact.
IMO the design is poor. It is hard to screw them into the socket. I used a quarter to screw them in but it felt like it was stripped.
I wound up damaging one of the wires and called CD. They replaced it at no charge. I was more careful installing the new one.
You were correct , I sent it back to them and they checked them out and a wire had come loose like you described, they were 11 months old so barely under warranty, I haven't removed them since install , so I don't know why they broke now , hopefully they will hold up , lifetime warranty on the LED'S is worthless if it's the wiring that breaks
