Hi All,
I am working over in Atlanta GA (Decatur area) in a couple of weeks and have a few hours to spare. I am going to visit the local HD but wanted to know if there are any good non- HD bike shops that area worth a visit ?(parts and clothing).
I,m from the UK so want to bring a few goodies back if i can !
Check out mountain motorsports in conyers. Its a very large non-hd motorcycle shop with tons of parts and accessories. Heres the website. http://www.mtn-motorsportsga.com/
I am also in UK, just returned from 10 days riding the Smokey Mountain area. I landed and started out at Atlanta. In terms of HD dealerships, I was more impressed with Killer Creek than Earl Small's. Didn't look at other shops, just wanted to head up North asap!!
If you are flying in to Atlanta - expect the weirdest experience in an international airport. I travel a fair amount internationally and this is the ONLY airport that insists on scanning your bags and doing another full security check AFTER you have cleared immigration and customs and retrieved your bags. Didn't get a decent explanation from anyone as to why they felt I was still a risk when all I wanted to do was get the hell out of the airport!

Agreed - I have bought three bikes from Killer Creek. They are great to me. As to the airport - that situation is a joke, but the configuration is that a person could take their luggage that had been checked and get something in their bag (a banned item) and then put it in a carry-on bag and board another domestic flight. Bad layout. Same situation at Dulles airport in DC area.
