wondering which cam to go with does anybody know anything about s&s 561 cam what is the diffence between 208 cams an 561 is the lift about the same and what about performance.

I am not familiar with your cam. There are several factors that effect cam performance Lift is one but as a rule, consider the duration (time in degrees that the valve is open, usually measured @ .053) for comparing. The more the duration, the more rpms are required for best performance. Everthing is a compromise, great top end come with a soggy low end and vise versa. No cam has both. I believe having a cam that is a little short is better than one that is too long. Choosing a cam that is designed to work with the machines weight, compression ratio, intake & exhaust system is recommended.
Good luck, Choosing the right cam can almost drive you crazy.

I had the s&s 551 ez start put into my 07 Ultra a little over 3000 miles ago. I am very happy.
It is still gutless in 6th. 5th gear does what is needed, and 4th gear will make you giggle!

I dont know which one to get , cams are for a 09 rg want to make power , ithink i would want them to pull hard at 1800 to 5000 rpm i have power dualls (v&h) on there nowwith a great tuner from revoultion perf.

My local tuner said the Andrews TW26a was his favorite one for touring....Lot of good stuff said about Woods TW6-6 but it may be a bit stronger than i want???? not sure yet...
