Default Tach

My tach reads 5100 @ rev limiter. It actually hits limiter @ 6200 according to dyno & laptop hooked to PCV. They replaced tach. Nada. Now going to replace crank positioning sensor & ECM. Oh yea, my cruise cuts off while running & have to stop, turn off cruise switch, ignition & kill switch. Start, then turn on cruise switch to make it work until it cuts off again about an hour later?

Dealer tried new tach & CPS. I emailed Dynojet & it seems all fly-by-wire do the same thing. They do not have an upgrade to correct it yet. Thought you may want to know & save on the wild goose chase.

I was going to answer that, aftermarket tuners raise the red line but the Tach stops at the original rev limit. I believe that the tach will work as expected with SERT.

My tach goes to 6200 w/ the PCV, but I had the HD stage 1 download ECM flash when I first bought the bike......No problem with cruise control either. Maybe your dealer could try the flash? Hell of a lot easier and cheaper than replacing all that stuff.....

PC said it would reach 6200 on tach w/flash. They should have a firmware update coming to correct as well. I'm good the way it works, just knowing redline reads @ 5K on tach. Banging it to there is a rare occurrence for me anyway. Thanks for input.
