I sold my car the other day. The bike is my only mode of transportation now. Im really glad I bought that rain suit. It came in real handy yesterday on the way to work.
Its not all bad though. I buy and sell cars on the side, and Im sure Ill have a replacement soon.
I think You made a smart move. More time in the saddle, gives one a better outlook on life! My four wheel vehicles set so long that I usally have to jump start them.

I just plain don't care about cars. I drive a POS 1996 Jeep Cherokee. It's getting ugly but it still runs. I only drive it when the weather's too bad to ride my bike.

I feel more like a biker now than ever!
With the winters we have here, (I'm in Normal), there's really only a couple of days that the snow/ice is bad enough not to ride. That is if you don't mind the cold. Got my first bike at 16 and it was my only transportation till I was 24. Was kind of tough in the winter since I was living in Canada at the time.

Interesting choice - I swore I'd never do that again after a couple of nasty accidents on black ice about 30 some years ago. I guess it depends where you live.
We have a few up here that ride all year long, in the winter they just wait until the plows clear the roads.
Funny thing is....those guys are bikers just like us during spring, summer & fall, but during the winter they are known by other names
