On my 2010 dresser with the stock wheels, the valve stem is tough to get to, making it a pain the **** to check pressure. I've tried the HD dial gauge with the hose and the standard tire gauge. anyone have an easier way to get to these stems.
Agreed this is the worst design EVER.... Is there an engineer in Milwaukee that Rides... Wait till ya attempt to add a few pounds ~ I think the truck stops sell some kind of 45 and 90 degree huge pos looking thing we can add to make life easier... Or just suffer... But this Valve stem thing really makes ya wonder about R&D... So far 20k on my 10 limited & this is my only real complaint...
90 Degree Valve Stem Adapter
Adding air to the tires an be difficult, especially with gas station air lines. This 90 degree valve stem adapter can help. Simply screw it onto your valve stem and enjoy easy access. A handy little device to keep in the tool kit at all times. This part is only to be used when airing the tires. Never ride with the adapter installed or the valve stem could become damaged, resulting in rapid air loss.
Here is what I went with, the guy that made them got killed in a crash but they work perfect here is thread and link. He died between me ordering and receiving them, his OL took up the business and seems to be doing okay last I checked.
Seems to me that these valve stem adapters could and probably would throw off the balance of the wheel, they look kinda heavy. I use one of these and it works fine. Doesn't help on adding air though.
