Anyone installed Draggin'Bagger stuff?
Still have a couple questions after reading through the instructions but I'll figure them out. Tony and Amee are so nice - they even told me to call them tonight if I needed anything, even while they're at their sons football game! But I hate to bother them there.... Gotta drill a few holes in the battery box to mount both the compressor on the outside and the valve on the inside... so we'll see.
Once it's in I'll try and get some shots showing the things I wish I could see before doing it! : )
If you're mounting your comp in the side cover, be sure and put it high and kinda forward. My first set of holes looked correct, but were too far to the rear (right) side of the battery box and my side cover would not clear. I then moved it about an inch forward and now it clears fine. I put masking tape on the box so it would be easier to mark for the holes, and then used a Q-tip with some anti-rust paint on the fresh holes. I also found that I was unable to use the rubber spacers that are provided for the mount - it made the com sticck out too far for my cover. But Tony said as long as it was good and snug it should be fine.
UPDATE: Ends up I was overtightening the mounting bracket around the comp which caused the ends to flair out. On rubber that made everything stick out too far. Once I loosened it so everything was flat I was able to get the rubber spacers in place and the side cover fit fine.
The valve goes on the inside of the battery box and you mount it down kinda low so the larger of the air nossles goes out the hole in the box - that way you can run an almost straight air line from the comp to the valve. You only need one bolt to hole the valve in place, BUT BE SURE you drill the hole and bolt in in place BEFORE you mount the compressor. I tightened mine all down (and it's a pain to get all those nuts in there!) only to realize I had to take it back off to drill and bolt in the valve. (rats! : )
I'll wait and run the air lines and stuff when new the shocks arrive. Hope that helps!
We have received some shocks and will be getting them out asap. First set goes to RONH who has surgery coming up next friday. I would really like to thank everyone for some first class attitudes and understanding. I hope all installs go smooth and i would gladly offer any assistance you may need, just ring. You guys know I would install for you if you lived closer. Come ride to California.... Nice roads here, and summer all year... Well I offered!!!
Again thanks to all,
Tony
