Default Replace head pipe on 103 engine

I was talking to one of the sponsers from this forum about a package deal for intake and exhaust. He also advised me to replace the head pipe on the engine eliminating the converter which is enclosed in the headpipe. What is your opinion on the headpipe replacement? This package is on a 2011 Street glide with the 103 engine.

My opinion - if you have the coin to do it, do it. Save the take-off stuff if someday your state starts emissions testing. Having no catalytic converter will raise your rider comfort level.

Absolutely. I did it and have no regrets. I saved everything that I took off also. Air cleaner is bagged, and pipes are boxed up and in the corner of the garage with ***cough*** all my other take-offs.

I eliminated the CAT and the motorcycle runs much cooler. I replaced it with a V&H power dual header and it definitely runs cooler and seems to have more get up and go!
