No clue when the American Elite is gonna be available for older bikes. My 180/65-16 is supposed to ship 10/7 but since shipping has been pushed back 3 times already, I'll believe it when I see it.
I think you can go with a 150 on the rear without mods. By the way, the more you pinch a tire to fit a narrow rim, the narrower it looks.
