Will I need to TUNE???
I have looked and looked, read and read, listened to many different slip ons and I really like the low rumble and sound of the KLOCK Werks SS 4inch straight cuts for my 2010 limited. I also really like the looks of the Kury Hypercharger witht the Candy blue face plate and butterflys. I think it really has an aggrssive look to it but with the coloerd face plates it still says classic!!! I have read that it is just for looks and will not not really add any HP to the ride. This does not bother me too much seeing that Iwill only be riding the bike for a week, I live and work outside the US nad have a short RR coming to me, i have not ven got 500 hundred miles on the Bike. My old man starts it up for me twice a week and lets runs for 15 - 20 minutes. He was taking it out for short spins and got it jsut under 500 before a surgery. Will the bike be fine with out tuning and runnning for a week I plan on putting at least 1000 miles on it during this time, or does it need tuning right away..
Why does it need tuning if the parts are bolt on and or slip on? I am not a wrench nor am I dummy, so simplifying this for me would be big help. 2010 Utlra Classic Limited
I've been eyeballing the Klock Werks Super Saver long straight cuts myself.
Just putting on the mufflers won't bother anything , and I've read that the computer can adjust for an air filter change also , but I wouldn't care to try it myself.
I've also been looking at the FL-XiED setup by these guys http://www.nightrider.com/ This would probably be the quickest way to richen it up for the A/C and mufflers.
Reports so far show they work pretty well for what they were intended to do.
A proper tuner would get you the "most" performance , but the XiED's are a very inexpensive alternative.
Drop them mufflers on there and ride the heck out of it for now............

I'm a big fan of the K.I.S.S. principle. If it were me, I'd swap out the mufflers (a 30-45 minute job) and ride an extra couple hundered miles rather than mess with an air cleaner and mapping. IMHO, limited time in CONUS would be wasted by unnecessary wrenching.
om my 07 the xied"s were a slight impovmentand would probably been ox for slipons only but with the a/c too hot and pinged.pcv from fuel moto and its all good.
