I ride a 2007 Electra Glide Standard and among other things, I had an LED Lighted Mirrors set installed. They are amber running lights and also act as turn signals. They were installed in January 2009 and the lighted mirrors cost $299.95 a pair plus installation. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that the most of the LED lights on the left hand mirror were out. There were only 2 working on the top amber strip and 3 on the bottom strip. I called the dealer who installed them and inquired about replacing the amber strips. I was told that they couldn't be replaced that I would have to buy the entire mirror, at a cost of $180.00. And was also told that they didn't think the mirrors were under any warranty. If 2 mirrors cost $299.95 why would 1 mirror cost $180.00? The dealer told me they would check on this and get back to me. Has anyone else had any experience with this type of situation?
Joromu,
Send me a few pics of the front/back etc around the "burned" out LEDS area. I Do SPEEDO/ODOM/Tach LED mods and may be able to replace these unless they are a complete sealed unit. Send pics to info@gaugeledmods.com
