Who''s mistake is this?
* That unfortunate rider must now completely disassemble his bike and clean everything than put it together and hope his electronics are reliable if he does not replace them to make sure.
* He had to stop his vacation:
- Find a tow truck to hoist the bike out of the river
- Do what it takes to find a home for his bike by either taking it someplace local or trailering it back home. Since it looks like he was vacationing possible without a trailer.
- Pay lots of money or get hit with an insurance premium
- Thank his lucky stars there where people who helped as it could have turned out worse

The real tragedy was the poor sport bike rider dude getting his leathers all wet. He should send the rider a dry cleaning bill.
Knowing the guy is ok, and he's got another bike as the wet one was totaled under insurance....I think it's funny. At least deserves a chuckle.
And the "Jap" bike riders had a hoot at the riders expense. Go read all 6 pages of the thread before passing judgement here Mr. Perfect.
