I put mine on too high the first time and ended up lowering them like one of the earlier posters here mentioned -- to gain the three basic positions.
If I was doing it again, I'd have asked my brother to lend me a hand so I could put my feet out and he could position them for me. It would have been a lot quicker.
thanks guys - some great advice there. I'll try not to look like the gyno chair but will keep my wrench handy for the inevitable adjustments i'll be makin.
I set mine so my knee has a slight bend. Straight leg puts a negative pressure on my knee. My toe can touch where the mount and peg meet with heel on the floor board.
Be careful not to scratch the **** out of the HW bar chrome while setting them up.
I am looking at purchasing the mustang solo for my 09 electra glide. How do you like the seat. I am comparing it to my 08 road king seat and want it to move me back further the the stock e/g seat. Would you recommend it? thanks wizzard44

(...and of course, feet on the floorboards not touching the pegs at all)
I think that gets me the maximum flexibility and alternatives.
Hope this helps.

i've had the offset 360 degree mounts on my EGC for about 3 weeks now. I have changed positions at least 10 times. Tried the stirrup high setup and the extremely low mount. Like most other posters i have found that the best location is one that allows multiple positions while riding. Best of luck and ride safely.
