Default Tour Pack movable kit?

I did a search and nothing came up. A friend of mine said he saw a kit made by Kuryakyn that allows the tour pack to be move reward for more room for the passenger and then can be moved back to the original spot. Has anyone heard of this? It would be nice to move the tour pack back when the wife is on the bike and then move it forward when she isn't on the bike.

Thanks

Yea, it's called the Kuryakyn tour pak relocator. Before dumping the money into that, do a search here for George Anderson tour pak relocator

+1 on the GA relocator. I tried the Kuryakyn kit on my 08 UC. It didn't fit very well. I had to drill a couple of holes out a little to get it straight.

I have the Kry kit on my 07...not the movable..it broke, i had to put a piece of steel pipe inside and TIG weled it together...solid now but i would check that George Anderson deal...a bit more but well worth it. I would set it and leave it...

I put the adjustable Kury mount on my UC. I phoned Kury and asked about their armrests, they said they were compatible. DON'T BELIEVE THEM if they tell you the same. I had to send mine back. Now I have learned that Kury is developing armrests that are compatible with the adjustable tourpac mount. Not yet released. Now my wife wants a remote control???

I have the Kury current kit, moved the TP up a bit and isn't the prettiest kit on the block but did the trick for what we wanted. One issue is it wants to stick if not lubed with a release spray, then if lubed will creep over the course of a ride. It uses a wedge and v-guide rail that tightens when the clamp levers are flipped so it will stick if not lubed and will creep if lubed, catch 22 but does do well to reposition the TP as needed.

Will it work with an Ultra classic that has the speakers? How about George Anderson's kit?

The kit had instructions as to wiring so I presume it is also EGC Speaker compatible, they will have to have a disconnect plug.

Anderson's relocater kit is a fixed bolt down kit, this is the web site I could find, there is a disclaimer as to bolt pattern changes:

I have the Kuryakyn adjustable relocator on my 2010 Ultra Classic. I bought it for much the same reasons you stated, move it to the rear when riding 2 up and slide it forward when riding solo. Installation was straight forward, instructions adequate and took about 30 minutes. It works fine with the rear speakers. The limiting factor sliding it to the rear is the wiring harness. I managed to fine a little slack here and there and have it pushed back a little more than 3".

The wife LOVES the extra room when she rides and is much more comfortable. I actually like the "stretched" look with it back and I never slide it forward. I've had it on the bike since June and have not had any issues with it.

Would I buy it again...probably not. Since I don't use the "adjustable" feature I think there are less potential problems with a fixed relocator. I would install one that would move it back 3 to 3 1/2 inches.

Hope this helps.
