Does it really matter that the tire I have on the front is a different brand than the one I have on the back?
I had someone respond that they would not go with two different kinds to another thread.
I rode my Deuce with and Avon Venom X on the front and a Dunlop on the back. Never seemed to cause a problem. Its not like I am going to rotate them or anything.
Just thought I would ask if there was any rationale to the comment.
You can mix match brands and rabial/bias ply...it really doesn't matter....I see where some MFG. say that it may track better but if you have a good tire in the front and you are riding in the rain then it will clear a good path for the rear...I have a Bias EIII on the fron and a Pirelli night dragon onthe rear and rode around 7 hours in a downpour yesterday and the bike performed flawlewssly...previous to that i had a Elite II on rear, similar to D402 and previous to that i had a Elite III matched set...really can't tell any differences. 54000 miles on the 07 and benn mixing all the time. I ain't gonna throw away a perfectly good front tire just because they say i should...
