I am so on the fence about these. Talked with a fella today and he says "if you don't like the megaphone style, don't get them." I'd hate to pay a 15% restocking fee if I don't like them. I've seen all the pics and everyone has been great about sharing their thoughts but gee criminey I just can't pull the trigger. I guess I just need to wait until I can see them in person...wonder how long it'd take to get to Delaware...

Ya know I wasn't crazy about the megaphone styles I had seen on other bikes. I think with these it is the end caps that bring it all together. With other megaphone styles it is always just a hollow end. And it was the style that kept on on the fence a little. Now that I have 'em I am glad I made the decision.
Oh and there is a member (JollyRogers) in Virginia that has them too. A little closer than Delaware.
Do you think the end caps will turn purple like all the rineharts?
I've had the black end-caps on my Jackpot mufflers for almost a year now and they have not changed color or faded. I think the Pro Touring use the same plating technique, which they claim prevents discoloration. I don't doubt it, but if they ever do I know FM would replace them.
I wonder how they would look on a Classic ? On the Moto site they dont show it on one. I have the Dyno tuned upslash ...similar to the stock pipes which i thought looked just fine, only needed more sound. Now even that model is new and improved. Also considering fishtails ...hmmm
I thought you ignored it because you were pissed I didn't go with the Rineharts. LOL
HAHAHA, Me pissed? Never. I really do not like the way they look on the web site but on your scoot they look totally cool and they do sound great! You should have let momma show her face in the video, instead of sneaking around the bike twisting the wick...lol...For those worried about the Rinehart end caps, they haven't had this problem in a while and the new Rineys are not made by Bub anymore they are made by a different outfit...still USA made too!
All of our black billet end caps feature a military spec HTC ceramic coating, they are not anodized or powder coated like most others. We offer a 3 year warranty and have seen zero issues
Sounds fantastic! I'm not sold on the look though....don't know if they would flow with a RK....They are at the right sound with the cat in there.....a different headpipe would enhance the volume probably louder than I would like.
Hey Jamie, are those competition baffles I see in there?
The Pro Touring mufflers have a variation of our asymmetric Dyno Tuned baffles with a stainless steel perforated core. They have a very deep tone with a touring friendly dB level and flow extremely well.
Pulled the trigger... Just got off the phone with Keith at FM. Have a Jackpot 2-1-2 head pipe, 4.5" Pro Touring Muffs, PC-V and stage one air cleaner on the way. Whew... talk about anticipation...
