I know these things exist, but until the other day I did not have a formed opinion, I do now.
These things are dangerous and annoying. I was in my cage with a Harley behind me. He had a headlight that flashed constantly in my mirrors, I found it extremely distracting and agitating. I was stunned at my feelings and how bothered I was by this thing. After about 10 minutes I actually pulled over to get away from this guy.
No way I would ever have this on my bike. Yes one is noticed, but for me anyway, I had great difficulty keeping my eyes from drawing back to the constant flashing. this has got to be more unsafe than traditional lights.
I couldn't agree more. Flashing headlights are for emergency vehicles, not motorcycles. They should be illegal. I actually stopped and pulled off the road one day because one of these idiots with the flashing headlight was coming at me, I thought it was an emergency vehicle because I saw him from a distance of over a mile on a 2 lane highway. I was pissed when he got closer and it was a motorcycle.
