I am wanting to do the full stage 1 on my 2010 Limited, but I am hearing so many conflicting reports on the Power Commanders. I live in southern AL where it gets hot down here, and many people I have talked to about this say the PC's don't hold up in the heat. I read about so much success on here I want to get one, but I don't want to invest in something that isn't going to last.
I would get a SE Tuner, but they are so expensive and I would rather have access to maps from FuelMoto which is where I would get a power package for my bike.
Do the PC V's hold up any better?
My dealer has a drawer full of PCs he has pulled off of bikes that don't work and replaced with SE Tuners.
Have PCV now. Had PC on 4 other bikes. Never had a problem. I'm in TX & rode to Sturgis in August. That's plenty hot. The PCV will not let tach read over 5K w/revextend enabled & your actually hitting 6200. Other than that I can't say nothing bad about them.
I've considered one for my 09. There is a member here that occasionaly posts pictures of power commanders in the trash can, at his shop. Needless to say he is not a fan !!
The SERT / SEPT whatever they call it this week is too rich for my wallet by the time you pay for some dyno time.

I've seen some pic on here like this too, posted by a mechanic at a Harley Dealer! I've had PC's on all my EFI bikes & most of my buddies have them also with no issues. All depends on who's doing the tuning & what they prefer. Jamie doubles the warranties on the PC's he sells, if it don't die in the first 2 years from heat it probably wont or your not riding near enough!
