I want to change my pipes also. I thought the CAT was required and would not pass inspection without it. I am considering just going with a V&H Hi Output Slip On for my 2 into 1 setup. Never heard of FatCats. If all a person is doing is changing the slip on, is remapping required or will it run too lean. If I have to have it remapped, do you think I should go with a Stage 1 filter? Or if the CAT is not a state requirement and I have to have a remap, should I just replace the whole system with something like the V&H Pro Pipe Hi Output? Really like the sound. All comments are welcome. Thanks
i just installed a Fuel Moto programed PC-V, Fuel Moto air cleaner, and Jackpot Powertube. I am very pleased with both the sound and performance gains.

One of the beauties of the D&D Boss Fatcat is that it is designed so that if you install a high performance air cleaner kit and the Boss Fatcat you do not need a tuner or down load for it to work. Check out D&D's web site. As noted, great folks to work with. It produced great results as part of my stage II 103 project.

You may not absolutely NEED a tuner--which is true with most exhaust upgrades, but if you want to the bike to truly run better and cooler a tuner is the answer. The factory O2 sensors with compensate for most exhaust and AC upgrades, but it will only put the bike back to the stock A/F ratio, which is very lean due to EPA regs to begin with.
Funny and true......the folks running screamin beagle are a lil on the clueless side at times.:
What's really funny is that you feel the MOCO builds a bike that you are willing to drop 20+k on, but they are not smart enough to build a muffler. Check out their website re: exhaust R&D.
I was at the dealer the other day, and they had just finished putting a Rhinehart true dual system on an '11 Ultra Road Glide. Sounded awful
The SE system on my bike has a deep mellow sound, and there are no heat issues at all..
