extended floorboards on street glide or lowered suspension.
I purchased some extended floorboards and I want to get a 12 inch shock. Has anybody had any scraping issues with 12 ich shocks and extended foorboards?
From: Formerly Tampa Bay, FL, Currently Western PA
I have a FLHRSi, which has the lowered rear shocks, and I put Harley Goodies 1" extension on. I've scraped a little, mostly on tight U-Turns and once on a fairly tight left hander that I was flying through after trying to catch the light.
I think you are good to go as long as you aren't a speed demon. Honestly, if you are scraping alot even lowered with extenders, you need a sportier bike
Yep I have them on my 2010 SG lowered 1" in the front and rear... I always corner with my boot out slightly farther than my boards because they scrape fairly easily I think. When I feel my boot rub I lean her back up just a touch.
