I am in the process of rebuilding my '07 SG from a collision with a deer and want to clean up the look of the rear fender by eliminating the chrome hoop located behind the seat above the rear fender. I have searched the web and this forum but am not having any luck finding a solution. I know I have seen a machined part which is made specifically for this purpose. Could someone point me in the right direction? I am also open to any other remedies which someone has came up with on their own without purchasing manufactured parts. I am using the stock rear fender and associated hardware.

I want to thank you guys. I have been looking for a long time for a solution to eliminate the bar. The only thing I ever came up with was to cut the bar. This looks much cleaner.

Thanx in advance!
BTW, if you are in need of parts let me know. I have a bunch of stock take-offs from my 07 SG. I took them off very early so they are in great shape. Including front and rear wheels...front brake rotors...front tire...and more. Will save you some bucks.

Thanks for the offer but I already have everything , as far as stock goes, that I need. Hit the deer bout a year ago and spent most of the winter scouring ebay. Just got all the body parts back from paint Monday and only need a few odds and ends and I will be able to spend this winter putting it all back together (if I can remember how since its been about 8 or 9 months since I tore it all apart. LOL)
Man, I guess the deer everywhere love these 2007 Street Glides, mine pictured below suffered a similar fate October 2nd in Arkansas on my way to Bikes, Blues & BBQ. I'm still waiting on the Gecko to pay up so I can put it back together.

Nice looking bike. Too bad you had the run in with the deer.
Hope to have mine back together this winter and will post pics when I'm finished.
