the J&S lift i have can be used with almost any bike out there dyna, touring, or metric.

I'm happy as hell with it, though the extra 7 inches of the Pitbull would be welcome.

But, I got my J&S off a guy on cr***slist for $200 so I can't complain

The 7" extra lift on the Pitbull jack often means the difference between standing up or bending over to work on your bike. It's something you get used to real fast, and once you do, you won't want to go back.

Been using my JS Jacks for over six years now. I have used it on Softail and Touring frames and it allows access to all drain plugs. Also comes with a drain pan that routes fluid into a bucket. And you can wheel the bike around while it is on the lift. Very solid and stable.

Check out their website. http://www.jsjacks.com/I have the Big Wheel Motorcycle lift.

I have never used a Pit Bull so can't compare.

I'm getting ready to order the Pitbull or J&S. I want the height of the Pitbull, but not sure about the complaints that the jack covers too much of the bottom. W/ the Pitbull, can you drain all 3 holes at the same time??

I am curious about this as well. I am thinking of ordering the Pitbull and would like to know about draining all 3 holes. I could have swore I read somewhere that someone thought it looked liked it would be hard to get to the primary drain on the newer bikes with the drain plug on the bottom.

Also, are there any disadvantages to going with the Dyna Model that "will work with all Harleys?"

One more thing, can someone with the Pitbull tell me the dimensions of it? I can't find anywhere. I am more concerned with the length, so I could have an idea how far the jack will extend into path of egress when I push the bike and jack against a wall.

I have the Pitbull and can tell you that ALL drain plugs are easily accessed. Pitbull makes 2 types of jack, the Standard and the Dyna. I bought the Dyna jack for my Road King because of the slimmer rails and better access to the underside of the bike.

I am very happy with the Pitbull jack.

From what I have seen the J & S is clearly the second best lift of its type manufactured today. Its special drain pan is proprietary to that company and an excellent idea.

Both jacks can move around with bikes on them.

The PitBull is even beefier than the very well made J & S, and has true grease fittings. The extra height is worth a million bucks. Unless you are looking for a total bike table which is a different animal all together, the PitBull is the Garage King.

J & S is a great lift...but here is one great reason for the extra lift of the Pitbull.. I always hated having to remove the mower deck to remove and sharpen blades. (I have a chocolate lab that like to hide rocks in the lawn)

Also, here is another tip that should work with either J & S or Pit lift and is free. A piece of plywood and a couple of quick clamps will give you a working shelf for tools and draining fluids..
