Its normal. Your sitting two feet away from a dinasoar design engine not 6 ft away from it surrounded by metal and insulation....wow....deja vu!

The ticking is just the start. As you get to know the bike better all of the charming Harley noises will become evident to you. Its probably normal.

hello my name is nikolas.i have a 2011 electra glide classic and i also have a ticking noise coming from the cylinder heads.ive changed hydrolicks and i have found the frond gear on the belt case kind of broken.ive changed everything but the noice continues and its louder when the bike get hot or i have it steady at 2000 or 3000 rpm.its brand new and i made 500 miles.does anyone have a tip before i open the engine???

A tip? Yes, stop messing about with it and take it to your dealer. You have a warranty to sort out problems with your new bike!

ive been there and it seems to be normal.after all the takling weve changed the premensioned staff.

Awesome, change out the restrictive exhaust to let out that HD sound and you'll never worry about the ticking again.
