Default Changing Brake Pads

I changed my rear brake pads today. It was much easier than I expected. There is barely enough paste in the HD brake pad kit so it is a good idea to get a tube or a can of it at the auto parts store.

If you are thinking about doing this job yourself, it should take 30 minutes your first time doing the job. Maybe 15 minutes or less on each caliper after that. I like easy and I like saving money!

I used HD part 41852-08A .

Did you do both the front and rear? Im about to change my rears... do you happen to know if the rear wheel needs to be off to change the rear pads?

The rear wheel does not have to be removed to install the rear pads. I personally changed mine this past spring on my 08> I had rear brake squeal before the change. I used the anti squeal paste that was supplied by the HD kit, it stopped sqealing for 5K miles. It's starting to to make a little noise again.
