I have been looking for a set of slip ons for my 2011 SG 103 with a deep tone and quite frankly fairly loud pipes. My neighbor has a set of Rush slip ons (not sure what size baffle?) but they sound great with a little throttle. Has anyone here heard or use these pipes and if so what do you all think? Do I need an upgrade A/F, fuel controller if I use these pipes or can I just have the dealer re-flash the computer with a richer map.
Is 2.5" overkill? If so should I use a 2.25"? My other choice is 4" Rineharts but don't think they will be as loud or deep as the Rush pipes.
Been reading the posts left and seems like most like the 2" baffle. Not to little and then again not to much. The larger the baffle the less low end grunt. Having the 103 you should already have the AC, if all your changing are the pipes you should be alright the current map.

I have the 11 SG with factory head pipes and "cat" and 2" rush slip-on's. I like the deep throaty sound but would like a tad bit more volume. I can either go up to the 2.5" or gut the cat...not sure yet what to do.
If you were to call Rush, they would tell you they would recommend you use a 2" baffle on your stock engine. Unless you have a souped up mill you will loose some low end torgue with the larger baffles. Back pressure is a good thing when it comes to exhaust pipes. But not when it comes as a result of a catalytic converter, like so many unfortunates have today. Look out water jackets-good bye air cooled. It is like a speeding train coming down the track at us. Harley air cooled will soon be a thing of the past. Oh, Thank you Mr. EPA for all the things you do for us.

Read Rush's comment a while ago. New HD Bike equipped with cat and paired with Rush's 2.5" baffles will sound like 2". I have a non-cat '09 Ultra with 2" baffles and loving it every time I ride. Sounds real good when idling, riding or roll the throttle hard.
2.5 inches!!! Brother, your going to be loud. But at least with the Rush, you can buy smaller dia baffles if you want to quite things down later. About 60 bucks for the baffles. And remember, theyll get louder in time.
I like the sound I'm getting with my 2.25's..... but my FLHTP also has the 103 and no cat so you experience may differ..... it's definitely the deepest sounding pipe I've heard.
have the 2.5 on my UC, they sound really good with the VH true duals, but it does hurt the bottom end, am going back to the 2 inch as soon as UPS delivers them to me. they are not to loud when crusing, but real throaty when on throttle.
