This is probably a dumb question.......On the 07's touring bikes (with radios) there is that place to plug something in up on the radio. Is this to be able to plug in somehting like an IPOD and listen to it over your speaker system?
Yes, you can use the AUX input for your Ipods. Just go to Radio Shack and get a wire with an 1/8" mail jack on both ends.
Make sure it's a "stereo" patch cord. If not you will only be able to hear out of one speaker. Just tell the guy at RS what you are going to use it for and he will know what you need.
The only problem when using an ipod or mp3 player is that you can only control the volume through the radio. You have to use the ipod device for everything else such as song selection and starting and stopping.
On feature I found interesting is the CD player which is able to read mp3 files. I don't know if it is new for 07 but it sure is nice. It treats a data CD with mp3 song files the same as a audio CD. This displays the title, track and other information just like an audio CD. It is possible to record 50 to 100 songs (mp3) on CD depending on sampling that is used. The storage on a single CD would be the same as a 650 MB mp3 player and you aren't limited to one CD. Lots of potential here.
Dang, forgot I asked this question yesterday. Thanks for the info.
OK, here is another clue as to how smart I am with this stuff.
What is the difference between buying an Ipod and an MP3 player? I see Best Buy and Target usually has the Ipod for like $149. I just want to be able to load up 75 or more songs to play while "on the rode" cruising on the scooter.
Suggestions?

I don't know if you got an mp3 player yet, but I just bought an RCA 5 gig player for 89 bux.
