If the stealer wants to unload that 07' bad enough, you'll get a better deal if you walk in with cash in hand.
The $15k is also taking into consideration some of the extras put on her...but mostly high resale value.
Just did what you are doing but with a Goldwing in the middle for a year. I looked for several months and found an 07 UC with 14,000 miles but totally stock. I got it from a dealer for 15,000 out the door. 15 is a decent price for an 07 and even then you have to look to get that deal. Left one dealer that had an 07 with double the miles and some chrome who would not go below 16 on his and it was in worse shape. Some guys and dealers think their bikes are gold plated. And everyone has the opinion that you can find one cheaper. But I never found them, I looked for 2 months till I found this one. The biggest thing I am happy with from the 00 EG I had is the 6 speed. The 96 is great but the game changer is the 6 spd. The 07 have a heat problem I found out after I bought it. But the bike you are looking at already has the upgrades to fix that. The ride is different which is the first thing my wife commented on. Seems alot smoother, just mine and her opinion. Oh and the stereo is better too.
PS Buy it, you won't be sorry, I wasn't

Well I think it sounds like a good deal if you can trade the 1996 for the 2007. I would rather have the 07 then the newer model And I have a 08 Ultra ..Make your move and be happy............... 15k miles is nothing I bet they will hook you up with a warranty also .There is nothing wrong with the 07 .. I would be more than happy to out ride someone with a 09 while Im on a 07 .Yes I have a 08 but nature took its course when my bottom end blew out of my 99 standard .. And I do not care to be without a ride for long periods, this happened when the DYNA chop was tore down . So I just picked up another touring model a few days after.
It doesn't matter what ya finally buy, or what ya give for it, someone is sure to tell ya got screwed! ************If you are happy with a deal, DO IT!
I would rather be sitting in my retirement home talking about this great bike i got one day, than be talking about this bike i wished i would have gotten, but never did.... just me
HEY I searched for 6 months before I finally found my 2010 ULTRA , I can not tell you how many deals I just missed or walked away from , But it was incredably sooooo hard to find a deal. I think you should Neg the price but if you really like the bike BUY IT!! Hey buy mine for $22K and I will start looking again for another 6 months LOL!!
Bought an 08 ultra 105th anniversary adition . Has 6 gal tank ABS great bike. Searched online and found the cheapest best price I could get. Hales HD in Ohio. Search around. He wouldn't come down on the price(he was already cheaper than anyone else) but he threw in a bunch of extras that I was going to pay for. Lee Hale said that would make the bike look sharp and threw them in. Then they gave me 20% off on some other stuff. Even through in a new seat (bike had a small tear in seat). Used Allied to ship from Ohio to Houston. Great bike. Great buying experience. Shop around and get what you want. I bought the bike with 5000 miles on it for 19 two years ago. Good luck!
